People are evolved to find patterns, but sometimes the patterns aren't there.PostSecret:
connectionA while back my husband renounced his religion
Then he lost his job
Now we are about to lose our house
and possibly our marriage.
I wonder when he will see the connection?
Most jobs don't depend on one's religion, so I don't think that's a connection. If they are connected, both might be effects from some other cause.
Losing one's house can connect to losing one's job. Losing a marriage could connect to any or all of the others. But if religion is the only factor in losing the marriage, then maybe they simply no longer belong together. You just have to accept that; you can't control the beliefs of other people.
Renouncing one's religion is usually the effect of another cause, so what is the cause of this? (Moral failures in the clergy? Hypocritcal/unsustainable church tenets? Collapse of belief?) Maybe renouncing is an appropriate response?
