It took 90 minutes to get home on the Metro tonight. The wait for the bus was 40 minutes. That's what makes the bike commute attractive - faster and free. (Ignoring the cost of the bike - which would be 3 years of Metro fares.)
It took 55 minutes to get home on the Metro Monday night. There was a long wait for the first train, but a very short wait for the bus. Waiting in the underground stations is less unpleasant than standing outdoors waiting for the bus. If I'm taking the Metro, the weather is probably bad (else I'd be on the bike).
