They've been moving people out of my office building for some time. Sometimes it feels like a ghost ship. It's been much easier to schedule conference rooms. But surprisingly often one has to visit multiple bathrooms to find an idle toilet. Apparently the remaining occupants are clustered, not evenly distributed through the building. Today they were moving tables out of some of the conference rooms.I got a flat tire tonight. I could hear something caught in the tread of the rear tire. When I stopped to have a look, I found one of those small nails with a plastic clip used to secure cables to walls. I made the mistake of pulling it out; it wasn't just in the tire tread, but into the tube.
The laptop power supplies/chargers/USB-chargers that run off 12V or house current finally arrived today. They came via that UPS/USPS hybrid, so even though tracking showed them in Alexandria Friday, they were not on a local truck Monday. And tracking did not email the promised delivery notice. The box looks like it's had a rough trip. The contents should not be delicate.
