I haven't had time to look any farther at configuring Alpine (email client) to make secure connections to Comcast's SMTP relay, but I'm receiving far less spam myself. Looks like Comcast should have implemented this long ago.The DVR was recording when I got home tonight, but it turns out it wasn't recording as much as it said it was. There were a lot of empty recordings again today. I still have no clue what the problem is.
