I've just watched
Surprise Package, a terribly silly movie, but pretty much what I should have expected, considering the cast:
Yul Bryner,
Mitzi Gaynor, and
Noël Coward for the headliners. There was only one musical number, with Noël and Mitzi singing, but there was plenty of the flippant comedy-of-errors banter you'd expect from a Noël Coward movie. Bryner's character was an endless stream of gangster wisecracks. Gaynor's was the duumb blonde with the good heart. Good triumphed over evil, in the end. Recommended? Not really.
Alas, Wikipedia's 1-line plot summary is inaccurate: "An American gangster living on a Greek island and a deposed King hatch a plan to steal some crown jewels."
An American gangster deported to a Greek island hatches a plan to steal a deposed King's crown jewels.
