better bike lights

My co-worker from Ohio is getting very excited about Thanksgiving. He's got 20 people coming for dinner.

Mail-Order Marketers: Your catalog may be full of green products, but if you send more than 1 catalog to my address it doesn't look like your own business is green. Even with multiple names, one catalog is probably enough for an address. If the recipients all have the same last name, they can share a catalog. Software to catch this isn't that difficult. Married couples with different last names are more of a challenge.

A bigger issue is where you got our names from in the first place. We've never bought anything from you, so from that viewpoint all your catalogs have been a waste. (And then my taxes pay for their disposal.)

anniemal phoned: 2 packages arrived today. They should be the (2 x) lights, batteries, charger, and headband (not helmet) mount; and the diffusing lens (from 10° to 30° spread).

I've been wondering where I can take comparison photos of the different lights. There's a side street a couple of blocks from my house that doesn't have street lights. (And I've always wondered about that....) It might be a good place.Innos Handlebars with Built-In LED Lights
[2017] I've seen no mention of these since this review, so I don't know whether this product survived.
The cables would block the light a bit, and the LEDs are in a position where I'd be resting my hands sometimes (although probably not there so much in the dark). The suggested seatpost variant might get blocked by long jackets. (I don't even have a seat post. ☺)
