sale but no bargain
My Acer laptop is in this month's MicroCenter ad flyer in the "Clearance & Overstocks" section. But it's at the same price as when we were browsing there weeks ago, the same price that was common on the web last month. I don't think MicroCenter's clearance/overstock category will ever get special attention from me again.
And I see "Off-Lease Refurbished" Dell computers for $130-$140 that are the same model as my office desktop. I just got email today about replacing the Dell GX 270 with a Dell 980. Those could be our old machines they're reselling.
And I see lots of PCs with Windows 7 with "downgrade rights" to Windows XP. That's really not very flattering when people dislike your new OS that much, so much that you have to let them have the old version or they won't buy a new computer.
