it's not dead yet....

My watch needs a reboot, which means a power-cycle, which means taking off the back cover (with a very tiny phillips screwdriver) and removing the battery.

The display froze while I was trying to set the time better last night (after the DST switch). The watch has an LCD display and hands, and I figured out early on that the hands were independent of the display because they didn't drift together. I was annoyed by that at the time, but now I'm glad because the hands are still working.

Rebooted my watch - unscrewed the back cover and loosened the battery clamp. There's still some segments missing on the display, so maybe the battery is low after all. (I haven't had the watch that long, so I wonder how long it was running before I bought it?)

The displays on the watch are all blanks. The hands are still keeping time, and the watch still beeps when I push the buttons, but the battery must be very low.

Got a new battery at a 24-hr CVS I pass on my bike route. (Haven't opened up the watch again to put it in yet.)

The watch hands are still keeping time on the old battery.
