It's a nice room, suite - small microwave and fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. The thermostat is set for 74°F/23.3°C; it always feels a bit damp and musty when I walk into it, but it's fine after a few minutes. The shower has the stupid control that lets you set the temperature, but not the rate of flow; and this one has a very high rate of flow - good for filling a tub, but beyond overkill for taking a shower. (Seems absurd in a region with a perpetual water shortage. Or rather, overpopulated for the available resources. You know, most of them would never live here without air conditioning....)
I've uploaded
yesterday's pictures. A few interesting aerial shots of Washington, and some sunset action in Phoenix. I've just deleted the first image folder (1.4 GB) off my camera's memory card. I've been using this card since I bought the camera (November?), taking mostly 3-megapixel shots, and this is the first I've needed to delete anything. Everything of interest is on my laptop and several backups, but deleting things always feels a little iffy.
Breakfast was good. They picked this place partly because it included breakfast, and they could cut $11 out of the meal per-diem.
We're off to work on "the project" shortly.
