The consultant is gone. Apparently he was about to leave the auditing firm anyway. He had also been asking around our office for a bootleg copy of Vista. (I'd forgotten about that, but I was there when he asked my office-mate.) Conducting ourselves with high standards, are we?

Email this afternoon from my boss to our group:[CONSULTANT] was removed from [AUDIT FIRM] team this week. Please let me know if you receive any future emails from him directly. I'll share the reasons behind this latest incident when we get together again in our regular staff meeting. The firm has representatives going office-by-office here apologizing for the consultant's actions. The consultant was escorted out of his firm's office building, after his company assets were "seized". I don't think he's going to be able to use his last job for references.
