I had the day off from work, and I went for one of my rare recreational rides. I rode out the
Washington & Old Dominion rail trail until my odometer said 20 miles (actually 20.22mi/32.54km) and turned around. It's a ride that doesn't take any planning, besides carrying necessities (tools, spare parts), and navigation requires no attention at all. I'm not sure I'd had enough to eat (2 buttered/toasted bagels), but I was OK.
I was able to confirm that
speedometer calibration for the new tires was amazingly good - agreeing with the trail's mile markers within 1/100th of a mile (52.8'/16.093m) over 5 miles (8.047km).
Today's forecast was "Isolated Showers", and I got a tiny bit of light rain around the beltway coming back.
On the way back I realized it was "cheap-chicken Monday" at Safeway, so I stopped at a store on near home. (Looking at the receipt at home, I discovered I was overcharged for something from the clearance rack. ☹
Cheez-It Grooves® Zesty Cheddar Ranch) And there were seedless red grapes on sale, a healthier choice than my other likely snacks.

After taking both wheels off last week and removing the tires and tubes to replace 1 broken spoke on each wheel, I have found another broken spoke this week. (I'm pretty sure it wasn't broken last week.) So I'll need to take that wheel (and brake disk) off again. ☹
Sunday 17:03
I've just replaced the broken spoke. It's chilly outside (57°F/13.9°C), so I took the front wheel off and brought it inside. It was one of the spokes "adjacent" to the spoke I replaced before. (It's 4 spokes over at the rim, but the spokes alternate from opposite sides of the hub, on each side of the hub they alternate feeding from the inside/outside and lacing in an "X" pattern - so 2 spokes over at the hub, but the next spoke laced the same way as the last one replaced.)

I just sent email to Ravemen support about the
USB socket problem on that new light I got a couple of weeks ago.
