Judd WinickIt's odd to pop into a
group, come to rehearsals for a couple of months, and then disappear. They're a nice bunch of people. The whole act is a lot more polished (attire, venues, etc.) than I'm accustomed to. It's a big group with a lot of big voices. I know I contributed (pitches, ensemble, diction), but I know that most of the time I wasn't audible to the audience - or probably even to the director, once we got with the orchestra. I'd much rather sing in a group where I can hear myself. And I'd prefer older music than they generally seem to do. And Tuesday-night rehearsals are not good for me. That's our night for scheduled system outages at work, picked in consideration of everyone's schedules (including mine, at the time). Being unavailable repeatedly is unfair to my coworkers.Verdi Requiem
