This has been an interesting and busy day at work, as I spent the majority of the day one-one-one with our new supervisor. Spending hours going over our policies, explaining tasks, and showing her how to use key programs really sapped my energy. On top of spending time with the supervisor, I also monitored the workflow of the two new hires (since the regular trainer is on vacation this week). On top of those tasks, I kept up with my daily responsibilities and made some executive decisions. For someone in non-management, I felt like a Suit for most of the day. The workday felt extremely scattered.
Alas, the end of the Working Day is less than an hour away. Plans for tonight include working out at the gym, making dinner, and maybe doing some prep work for tomorrow's Thanksgiving dinner dish that I will be bringing to my co-worker's house. I shall be making a baked macaroni and cheese dish.
Friday is another Working Day. I suspect that the day will be filled with documentation and projects. I am looking forward to the weekend already, since I have tentative food plans with awesome friends on both days. I may even sneak in a jaunt to the Farmers Market on Saturday morning.
