The Boy Who Almost Lived: A Neville Longbottom Fanmix
My first fanmix! Well first one I'm posting anyway. I learned that I am not very good at this whole fanmix business. I worked on this one for like 6 hours and could still only find 7 songs.
Soooo I'm pretty sure the songs only make sense in my own head but oh well. This is about Neville who I think is way underappreciated. He's got kind of a really sad tragic history. :( And a lot of these songs are about him proving to everyone he's not weak. Because he's not. He is in fact AWESOME. Enjoy! :)
EDIT: To explain the title so everyone doesn't think Neville died or something. You know how the prophecy could have been referring to either Harry or Neville? Well since Voldemort chose Harry and Harry survived everyone called Harry The Boy Who Lived. So Neville being the other choice was ALMOST The Boy Who Lived. Get it? Or am I just lame? :D

Neville wants everyone to see that there's more than meets the eye in him. Also the 'I don't need your sympathy, I could use your company' line made me think of how Neville doesn't want sympathy about what happened to his parents but he does want company because he doesn't seem to have many friends. :(

Neville knows that its dangerous in the wizarding world and he wants to prepare (with the DA) on how to protect himself.

Neville wants to be a great wizard who is noticed instead of just "that boy who always forgets everything and loves his toad too much."

Neville's dad Frank was known as a very great wizard before he was tortured into insanity. Now Neville's grandma compares Neville to Frank and comments on how he should be more like him. But Neville is great in his own way without being like Frank.

This about Neville's relationship with his currently insane parents.

Neville is very brave (he is in Gryffindor!) plus he's shown lots of bravery throughout his school years. This song sort of made me think of Neville saying this to Bellatrix because since she tortured his parents she wants to finsih off the family and Neville isn't scared of her. Also the cheating destiny thing made me think of how it was destiny for Voldemort to go after either Harry OR Neville according to the prophecy and he chose Harry and therefore Neville cheated destiny.
Told you they make no sense lol.
