These are for round 11 at 20inspirations. The theme was we had to use 15 songs as inspiration that were provided and five of our own choice. I chose pieces of the lyrics that inspired me and next to them explained my interpretation.

I'm pretty rusty so these gradually got better as I went along lol.

1. Somebody That I Used To Know - Told myself that you were right for me
(Explanation: This icon is of Sansa when she first sees Joffrey and her immediate thoughts are most likely that he's her prince charming and is the right one for her.)
2. Be Mine - It's a hard thing faking a smile when I feel like I'm falling apart inside
(Explanation: This just relates to the fact that Sansa has to pretend to be okay even though they've killed her father and are basically holding her prisoner.)
3. Polish Girl - Distant look but looking good
(Explanation: Sort of the same as above. Sansa needs to look good for Joffrey but she can barely look at him. It's moe apparent in the books when she talks about how he likes her to wear this and look pretty, etc.)
4. Something About Us - With heat struck afternoons long through those idle dreams go back to you
(Explanation: In the books Sansa thinks about Sandor a lot.)
5. Broken Strings - When I’m speaking it’s the voice of someone else
(Explanation: Self explanatory. Sansa says and does what others tell her to.)
6. Unlike Me - Unlike you, I am not pretending
(Explanation: Sansa is "in love" with Joffrey. He is pretending to love her.)
7. What Hurts the Most - Getting up, getting dressed, livin' with this regret
(Explanation: It's cut out in the show but the morning of her father's capture in the books, Sansa goes to Cersei and tells her he plans to leave. That's the regret the lyric is talking about. If she hadn't done that then they probably would've made it out of their. And now she has to continue on knowing she did that.)
8. Unarmed - I am unarmed and I have no fear
(Explanation: This is the scene where Sansa was about to push Joffrey off the bridge. She had no fear and was totally about to do it if she hadn't been stopped.)
9. To Build A Home - I climbed the tree to see the world when the gusts came around to blow me down
(Explanation: Sansa rose up from where she was to be betrothed to the prince only to get knocked down again after her father's death.)
10. Pursuit of Happiness - I'm on the pursuit of happiness
(Explanation: This is the scene where she's telling her mother she wants to marry Joffrey ad have his babies because she thinks that will make her happy.)
11. We Don't Bleed - And well always sing our song to make the truth come out
(Explanation: This is the scene where she's meant to tell the King what happened between Joffrey and Arya and she pretends she doesn't remember so that nobody gets in trouble and she stays in Joffrey's's good graces.)
12. Who You Are - Don't lose who you are, in the blur of the stars
(Explanation: This is the scene where Sansa's Septa tells her not to forget where she comes from when she sees her with the southern hairstyle.)
13. Ships In The Night - How many of our parents make it anyway
(Explanation: Her father gets beheaded.)
14. The Fear You Won't Fall - Diggin a hole and the walls are caving in behind me
(Explanation: She dug herself a hole wanting to have her fairytale life with Joffrey only to have the walls cave in in the end.)
15. Breathe Me - Hurt myself again today. And, the worst part is there's no-one else to blame
(Explanation: This is when Joffrey has her hit by his guard. It's not entirely Sansa's fault like the lyric implies but she does say something to Joff that she knows will make him mad and her want of a fairytale kind of led her here.)
16. Viva La Vida - And I discovered that my castles stand upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
(Explanation: Sandor comes to get her and she's all "Leave me alone, I'll tell the Queen." He says it's the Queen who sent him and Sansa realizes she doesn't have as much power as she thought she did.)
17. Lotus Flower - I will shape myself into your pocket. Invisible. Do what you want
(Explanation: Cersei tells hers to write a letter to Robb and she agrees to do whatever she wants.)
18. Hide and Seek - What'd you say? That you only meant well. Well of course you did.
(Explanation: Sansa pleads for mercy for her father. I think that this may have been one factor in Joffrey decidiing to behead him. His court saw her beg and he didn't want them to think he was so weak as to listen to a woman.)
19. Jesus Christ - Jesus Christ, that's a pretty face.
(Explanation: The King remarks that Sansa is a beauty and she's kind of known for it. So this one is just shallow lol.)
20. Coming Up Roses - And it's coming up roses everywhere
(Explanation: This one made more sense when I made it. It was something like she has to pretend she's fine ("coming up roses") when she's not. And I chose to contrast her smiling with Joffrey to her looking at him like she wants to die.)

1-20. Game of Thrones (Sansa)
