New home, for how long?

Moved house on Thursday. Intended to have found a share-house to live in by that point. Nobody I knew had (or has) any rooms or knew of anything available. Not terribly motivated to move in with strangers, but will have to soon really. Staying with my mother in new place in Malvern at the moment. I live in the dining room. It's basically a big hallway. I constructed a wall out of bookcases and a curtain to achieve some measure of privacy. The ceilings are so high it blows my mind. Living out of boxes and bags. No internet until sometime later this week. Hate having no internet. Feel quite alone. Free wifi in town doesn't work in any of the places it used to. Lame. LAME.

It really sucks not knowing any of the shops in my neighbourhood. I spent eleven years in Elsternwick and knew what was on offer in most shops in a two-kilometre radius of my flat. On the other hand, I'm now a six minute walk from the nearest train station. I left home for work yesterday with just over an hour until my shift and ended up arriving less than half an hour later, including a stopover at a 7-Eleven.

Great work party last night. Welcoming my old boss back from a trip overseas and farewelling a girl I've worked with for five years. Ended up in tears as the dawn broke and I wandered out into town with another Kino guy who is unlucky in love. Guess I'm not over things as much as I thought I was.

[Subtle hint] Totally could do with some company at the moment!
