It's funny how the times I mostly think to post on LJ are when I'm in the car driving somewhere (and obviously therefore completely unable to access a computer). I find myself composing posts that are never seen by anyone, because by the time I get home I've completely forgotten about them, or am too tired or busy to get to the computer. Maybe now that I'll be staying home with Kimi things will be different - I can post during her naps, like now, or in the middle of the night when she wakes me and I can't get back to sleep.
Maybe. We'll see. I hate the fact that my journaling, whether online or off, has become so sporadic. I have found it useful, therapeutic and amusing (sometimes all three simultaneously) to look back at old journal entries over the years. I find it sad that the more my life changes (marriage, home buying, baby) the less of a record I have of events.
When I stopped writing (poetry and prose, I mean) I said that you could either live life or observe it, but that doing both at the same time seemed prohibitively difficult. Perhaps that's what's going on here. I don't know. I'm trying to make a more active effort to post here, though, and to keep up Kimi's journal, since that will, I think, be far more interesting than the traditional baby journals usually are.
Note - I weighed myself at the pediatrician on Thursday, and I'd already lost 26 pounds, so I'm now officially (just) under my pre-preg weight. Yay! Hopefully I'll keep losing - I can't wait to start exercising, although I know better than to start right now. Still, when I'm healed up, just you wait!
