Writer's Block: Know by Heart
Holy cats, yes, I'm well-known notorious for this stuff. My own "Mondegreens" are extensive.
The earliest I remember is from When You Wish Upon a Star:
"Like a boat out of the blue." which I connected with a visual of a ship emerging from fog, its low, mournful horn sounding to signal that the ship is there to help me..
And of course it's a bolt out of the blue.
And, yeah, I still like that image better than the lightning bolt.
