BD and CDJapan
For the first time, I ordered online some manga from Book Depository - because of its free shipping worldwide - and CD Japan - due to some recommendation from a couple friends.
I have to say that they are much easier to browse (because its in English!! - wakaka) but unfortunately there aren't much selection for BL manga (well dooh XD).
From BD, I only bought Honey Chocolate Pancakes by Kinoshita Keiko - the status said its been dispatched on 14 May' 12 and should be arrived in 6-10 days after *cross fingers*. I also pre order In These Words by GuiltPleasure which will be published on 12 June' 12 - note to self to change the shipping address to the new office by then.
These 2 BL manga from BD, will be the first two manga that I own in English. Usually I much prefer to buy BL manga in its original language and print.
And then I bought some BL manga from CDJapan also, which is:
* Hakkenden - Toho Hakken Bunroku v07 (Asuka Comics CL-DX version) by Miyuki Abe
* Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi - Onodera Ritsu no Baai v06 by Shungiku Nakamura
* Junjou Romantica v15 by Shungiku Nakamura
* Sore dewa Kyo mo Itadakimasu by Hashimoto Aoi
* Shinshi to Norainu by Tennouji Mio
* Amaeta Kemono no Shitsukekata by Kou Fujisaki
* Ze Kami no Hon by Shimizu Yuki
Only 7 manga for now, some are 'old' and some new. The order should be dispatched on early June' 12 - awaits until the Ze Kami no Hon is published on 30 May. Hopefully it will be shipped and arrived soon after that, because I choose International Priority shipment that takes around 1-3 days only to arrive. It's cheaper than using EMS, a bit weird that.
But really, CD Japan is a bit... no... not a bit, but a very dangerous one for my sanity and my wallet, what with all that anime goods. But the shipping cost is so expensive compared to when you buy manga only. I want to try to order some, I have like 7-9 items in my shopping chart - from One Piece, Natsume Yuujinchou and Tsuritama fandom - and when I try to calculate the shipping cost, it was much expensive from the actual price of the goods. I tried to be more selective and only choose/combining some, but its still expensive T^T
After several hours, it come down to 2 items only that I wanted the most, which is One Piece Thousand Sunny - I don't have any ship/boat from One Piece even though I have lotsa of its characters figure - and Nyanko Sensei Mini Japanese Tea Cup Collection Set . When I try to calculate the shipping cost, it was twice as expensive from the goods' price *head desk*. Why... oh why... and there are 2 options only for shipping, which is EMS or SAL ;_;
After further consideration, I decided to cancel the order and 'saved' the items for now. I've already spent too much these 2 months >/////<
I will see how it goes first with my current orders from these 2 websites. Before, I used to order BL manga from Amazon.co.jp - like a few years back. It's pretty much satisfactory then, but nowadays, a lot of my friends complained about its service etc, oh well ~
