So, saturday nights show was great from the outside but, from the inside was a different story.
OUTSIDE:
The Bands were fuckin awesome!! They were just amazing. The sound kicked ass and people liked my dj set. The people that filled the room where the bands played had such great high energy that all I saw were smiles and the look of enjoyment. People kept commenting on how great the bands were. Some people that came to the show were amazed on how great "The Pretty Scars" were since they have not heard of them. I also, had great comments on the awesome new material "They Walk IN Line" played.
People were although unhappy that "They walk in Line" had to end their set short. That was a bummer especially since I love their music so much.
INSIDE:
Owner of Vida had complaints every half hour about how loud everything was and when the show was going to end. He also said to me when we got there that his resident people get in for free. He tells me that there wasn't going to be that many people. An hour later he ask us when the show was going to end because he booked a birthday party event and was expecting sixty people. I had a spy take toll on how many people the owner let in free. He let in 79 people in for free. After the "TWIL" closed the set he kept bugging to get the gear and equipment out so his party can dance in the room. He asked if I had music to play for his group so they can dance. I said "no" and immediatley played punk music since his group liked rap. Shortly afterwards people from his group asked if I would play anything else so they can dance i told them no and so they made comments on leaving. Which lead to more of his people leaving early. Also, after the show I had a few people tell me that the owner had took drinks away even though they werent done with them. Once we were leaving his people started to leave which means he had to close his bar at 1:20. that fucker thats what he gets for having us leave. Then despite all this the owner hits on Grace my business partner and demanded Grace to give him inside info. on "Moondog's Company's Objective". She shut him down on both.
"They walk in line" helped with the setup for the show as well as the sound guy "Ryan". With their expertise they made the show happen. And of course "The Pretty Scars" started the vibe of Rock n Roll happen within the club by rushing to get there as fast as they could to open the show. Thier guitarest made it in from the Inland empire and left work early to make this show work.
I give a big thanks to them all and to all of you that made it to the show. You guys rule!
Sorry to bring this all up but, people have been hitting us up with our letter of apology and wanting more info. to what happened. That is the story.
