The building in which I now sit is barely ten years old, yet has suffered from severe leaking problems since it was built. There are stalactites forming mere metres away from my desk.

A few minutes ago, a very loud crashing and banging that went on for a few seconds reverberated through the building as one of the supports holding in the windows on the top floor fell down into the atrium.

Sometimes, I really do wonder why this building is not condemned…

For anyone who is interested, it's this building, which is built on a hill that is gradually subsiding into the sea. :) The bit of girder fell from the top floor above where that third photo on the second link was taken.
