on my mind

It's fun to write "poetry." Poetry however is positively horrid to read. Especially that poem "To Autumn" by Keats (sorry vinny) Quite vomitous. He uses all of my least favorite words in the English language in the first few lines. I wrote a paragraph and called it a poem and turned it in to Mr. Smith for extra credit. Perhaps it is not P.C. (I try nearly to not be), so I am sure it will not win the scholarship (because of that, and because it is not particularly well-written). It got Mr. Smith's mild approval, anyway.

From my experience this year, poems written about nature, love, religion, and famous people are pretty invariably shit.

Orchestra concert tonight. I don't think we were bad. Doesn't really matter, though . . . we had an audience of perhaps 50 people, most of which were our parents. Well, not mine. Mine don't give a shit about familial support. I had several people that said they were going to go but changed their minds. I like to play. I don't like to hear myself play. But when I see the dumbasses in symphony that think they are so fucking good they can just miss the dress rehearsal, and then they forget to bring their fucking music so that we delay the concert for ten minutes waiting for them to get their slutty act together when they COULD have gotten it together when they were wasting time talking to some of the biggest manwhores of the town, I feel I'm wasting my time. The person in question was of course my sister (sidenote: she has a boyfriend that is potentially abusive, so I hope she is cheating on him with all of the aforementioned manwhores). I can't wait to leave it all. I hope a college orchestra is more serious.

I think I may go to USC. They're giving me lots of moneys. I can buy stuff. I'm a fan of stuff. I will have a full scholarship if I go to Winthrop I believe, but I won't get as much overage. Eh. Perhaps they will dazzle me at Winthrop Day on Saturday. My decision is not yet made, we will have to see. The downside to USC is that katrina will subject me to green all the time. Green is a putrid color. I prefer red or blue. I want a solid color dorm I think. If she can have green, then I can have HOT PINK if I so desire. You like that Katrina? HOT PINK. Think about it.

Kat and I embarked upon our largest art project ever yesterday. It is a frozen rose the size of a baby elephant. It will serve as the backdrop for her synchronized swim show. We tried to make it blood red . . . but cheap red paint makes for hot pink rose. It will clash terribly with their red suits. Muahhahaha.

I don't feel good about equality right now.

I can't go to sleep at night unless I think about notebook paper.
