Not all my cooking works first time and come out awesome, like the last couple. Last Friday, I tried to cook a recipe
darwinian_woman showed me, which involves roasting sweet potatoes and drizzling a creamy onion/leek/mushroom/spinach sauce over them. This turned out to be a disaster, but at least it was still edible.
The sweet potatoes went mushy at the bottom, so they were in the oven for too long (or on too high a temperature), while the onions weren't fried long enough, and I didn't have enough crème frais, so the sauce ended up too watery.
