and all of a sudden you were one with the freaks

Mondays, every week, let's celebrate ourselves, to start the week right. Tell me what you're proud of. Tell me what you accomplished last week, something -- at least one thing -- that you can turn around and point at and say: I did this. Me. It was tough, but I did it, and I did it well, and I am proud of it, and it makes me feel good to see what I ( Read more... )

* Made a breakthrough on The Book, both in how I was approaching it and in what it's got to contain. It involves throwing out everything I've got so far, but I already knew I was going to have to do that, and I think this might be able to get me back in the game.

* Knocked something off the WIP list! Avoided putting something else on the WIP list to replace it.

* Went to the doctor. Smiled. Gritted my teeth. Put up with bullshit. (not doctor's bullshit; the bullshit of the various people she answers to.)

* Took care of me. (This is hard for me to do, and I am therefore proud of it.)

* Am 1/3 done with my 12in2008 stories! \o/

Made a breakthrough on The Book

Rah rah rah! I will help in any way.

Took care of me.

This makes me ridiculously happy, as you took care of me rather brilliantly last week. And remotely, I might add.

I had to drive on a very busy road, which made me very nervous because it was busy, it was dark, and I'm not good at merging into traffic. My passenger was yelling at me because he thought I was going to hit something, which did not make me any happier.

BUT, I did not hit anything, I did not have a panic attack, and I did not even start crying, and I got us home safely.

Go you! I hope your passenger is kinder to you the next time, but this is awesome work. :)

Drove nine hours, most of them in blizzard conditions (and the rest on unplowed highways during a lull in the blizzard), in a day without even once slipping off the road. (At least, I don't think so. But since I couldn't actually see where the road was most of the time, the only proof of this is that I actually did make it where we were going, and then home.)

Amusingly, I was wearing my Rood Inverse t-shirt under my turtleneck that day. I had a feeling I needed to be invincible for that trip.

technically it's now Monday and I got the first 4 seconds done on a vid and I started my next crochet project. :) It's not a lot but I feel like it's a start. I'm hoping sometime at work I'll finish my spn_bigbang outline and actually write at least 100 words.
