So as mentioned, ivorygates and I are co-enabling right now on a crossover between my Eurydiceverse and her universe of "Waterloo Bridge", and due to various story pressures, etc, the whole thing gets to be in E'verse Daniel's point of view. While she has a number of very smart things to say about the process of writing a character that challenging, which she will be posting eventually I'm sure, I thought I'd go for a simpler method of making my point about Why Writing E'verse Daniel Is Like Gargling Broken Glass.

The following are, in no particular order, the absolute bare minimum to have on hand/open while I'm writing something set from his point of view:

1. Google
2. Wikipedia
3. Project Gutenberg
4. blueletterbible.org
5. Norton's Anthology of English Literature
6. answers.com
7. etymonline.com
8. Babelfish
9. The Intern Who Speaks Arabic
10. Everett Fox's The Five Books of Moses
11. Andrew Dalby's Dictionary of Languages
12. (depending on the story) blowfish.com
13. A bottle of Jack Daniel's
