I am delighted to see the next part of this! I was beginning to wonder if I had somehow missed it.

I really enjoy this one because there is such a mix of humor and pathos. I loved the peaks into Chris' head- of course he was the only person to love being thirteen, and of course he learned not to fear gestures in college (what?). I adored the "leslie is for lovers" on the side of the Bulge- how beautiful, and with Ann's reactions to Leslie's reactions? Lovely. And I always love to see Tom interact with the media- he is so actually smooth when it happens (I think my favorite Tom bits are him flirting with Joan, because yay). I thought your Ron/Chris scene was practically lifted from the writer's brains, it seemed so spot-on to their relationship. And your April is amazing, because she has this new passion for managing the band that I am enjoying deeply.

Favorite line: It's like the sound of someone running over the cutest baby squirrel with a motorcycle

I loved that Leslie and Ben went with the "stay together, come clean" strategy. No matter what happens to Leslie's political career, they won't be living with what ifs about their relationship.
