Once again, I have neglected this fucker of a journal. Nothing crazy has happened lately other than the starting of classes and such. Classes aren't bad, and I have made some friends with some people that are in a bunch of my classes. I gotta say, it makes going to class and sitting through a lot easier when you know people. It's a bit weird (but in a good way) I am one of the only few males in 4 of my 5 classes, with 2 being the only male period.Hehehe, woohoo. It's actually interesting just to listen to what these girls have to say, cause there are a few of them that are teachers already and well, they have experience and I don't, so it is nice to talk to them and hear what they have to say about teaching and their expereinces with the education system in general. Other than getting used to the course work and the new requirement of "observations," graduate school is quite good.

Rugby has also started back up, though no one who reads this journal has much of an interest in it as I do, but nonetheless, the very start of the season has always been a difficult time for me; particularly when training with guys who have been playing 15+ years. Physically right now, I am not good. I am recovering from a pretty major (i failed to realize how major it was at the time, thinking it was a groin pull, but in actuallity was a decent muscle tear along the adductor) injury, thus have lost a lot of cardio endurance, and I have paid dearly for it the last few days. It's just psychologically very frustrating trying to push myself out of that comfort zone to get back where I was in Novemember. Hopefully the next few weeks will yield more pleasant results. Along with the season started, my college rival team Quinnipiac, or as they are known now New Haven U-23, is training with us, and it's definitely weird training around with some of these guys who I have played against numerous times. The last time in which I played for New Haven and Quinnipiac insisted on playing against us (we were B-side). Well, it was a comlete massacre, and I am not exagerating when I use the term massacre, as Coach (who ref'd the game) states in his review of the match:

The "b sides" outing against Quinnipiac (88-5 final score) was of little more value than an unopposed training run,and quicker than R.G.T. could plant a kiss on the lips of Bob Huscher at an after match function the killer Bees had wracked up 80 plus points.
Man of the match Sau had another great game and continues to push for a side honors.
Monk had a big game as did "how do you think i went" Pat and "tattoo"Paul(the ventriloquist) and Beetle (howdy doody) (that's me if you cared)
But all the accolades must really go to the fittest and best looking guy out there ,"the referee"

Putting that match aside, it is great to know that there is a younger team eager to play and someday become New Haven RFC players. It saddens me to hear that Southern RFC, which had some players that started New Haven RFC in the late 1980's, will not be (or will rarely) be training with New Haven this season for "administrative differences." It was told to me that it was always a tradition for Southern to train with the New Haven boys in the Spring season to really beef up their skills for the fall. Hopefully what I have heard will not be true and Southern can get down there and show Quinnipiac a thing or two. Well, that's about all the crap I am thinking about right now. Thank god tomorrow is Saturday. England v. Wales is tomorrow 12:30. Yay. Go Wales.
