Two more weeks and it is all done. Man, this semester was really long. It's strange being back in school, but at the same time I would rather be in school than working. I hate work. I hate working in general right now, so to me school is where I want to be. I know eventually I have to go out and work, I just don't want to be doing that right ( Read more... )

Yeah, I see your point. I think in a few years or so I will see that too. I agree with making the more than 10.00 an hour shit, but right now I just don't want to work. I mean, before last semester when I was working 2 jobs equaling about 51 hours of work per week, I felt like I never had time to do anything I wanted to do. I know other people who are out of college and are doing the whole work a real job thing, and a lot of them tell me they feel completely bogged down and have no time for themselves. I am hoping I don't run into that again. But with a teaching degree, you can teach and make money and enjoy yourself. With a political science degree, it is a bit more limiting--can either go to law school, grad. school, or have some connections some where and you end up working a campaign or overseas. Unfortunately none of those worked out for me. Funny thing is out of all the poli majors I know, only 1 went on to do something related to poli sci...he worked a congressional campaign, great job he said, and then the congressman he was working for lost the campaign. After that, he was let go, there was no point for them to keep on, so he told me it was difficult in finding a stable job, he is actually going back to school for a masters/PhD so he can teach politics in college. But I do see where you are coming from wanting to get out of school.
