Colored Saran Wrap and Wares from Ghana
So. After getting a new battery for my car it seems to be running fine... Wooohoo for something else to start burning my money! yeay! So i got to run my errands, and i'm totally revved, because they were having a sale on holiday colored saran wrap. So now i have 8 boxes of the stuff to make into something wear-able. Yeah for making clothes outta stuff at the grocery store.
I've been knitting scarves for my friends. All i need is a rocking chair, and i could officially be someone's grandmother... *sigh*
Also i am getting a piece of Ghana-ese wares. My good friend went this summer and she got our friends all different things... Since they are all in Boston they already got theirs. I just have to wait till another brings it when she visits me tomorrow for a week. So far my other friends have gotten: 1 over-sized Headdress, 1 large handmade basket, 1 smelly goat horn (that smells like real goat), and 1 necklace. At least i know i wont be getting a smelly goat horn. Yes, my friend is out of control. She's a city gal, but went to Ghana for an experience of a lifetime. She got one. She learned how to take a live chicken and turn it into stew. I'm not sure i coulda been that hard core.
Hehe. Smelly goat horns. I sooo need to get a picture to show everyone. Then i can tell people to look at my smelly goat horn.
