30 day song challenge: days 1 - 10
So, while waiting for my hc_bingo card I've been just exploring the LJ comms and found this.
A 30 day song challenge. The rules was to post the song that suits the category for each day, but I'm not gonna do that. I'm changing the rules to "name the song that suits each day and explain why that song" or something like that. Since I've been all about the music lately it seems fitting. And I'm gonna do a ten days worth of answers cause, you know, internet access...
Day 1 - Your favorite song
There are so many song I consider favorite, but the one I always come back to is Enjoy the silence by Depeche mode. It's a song I grew up with and have listened to over the years even when I wasn't a fan of DM and it's a song that has so many different versions so it never geets boring really.
Day 2 - Your least favorite song
Again, there are many songs I don't like, at all, but most are Croatian music. Just because the lyrics are insanely stupid, the melody is even more stupid and nobody's even trying anymore to do something new here.
Day 3 - Song that makes you happy
My chemical romance's Planetary (GO!). It's such an amazing song, and actually the first I put on repeat like a psycho for hours when I got the album. It's energetic and the music is amazing and Gerard sounds incredible.
Day 4 - A song that makes you sad
Oh. Um. Panic at the Diso's Memories. Most likely for all the emotions of the things that happened usually bring in me when I listen to it cause life was so good a couple of years back and even though there are things that are good in my life now, mostly it's a bad time for me and remembering things actually hurts like hell.
Day 5 - A song that reminds you of someone
Backstreet Boys' Quit playing games with my heart reminds me of my best friend while growing up. We used to go and sit in a park and just sing our hearts out while drinking ice tea and staring at the bay. We are still good friends but she got a kid a year ago so we don't really see that mush of each other.
Day 6 - A song that reminds you of somewhere
E-rotic's Max, don't have sex with your ex reminds me of Frankfurt, Germany cause I used to live there and the video was always playing on Viva. I was just a kid and my mom and aunt used to work there and bought me and my cousin lots of Barbies. I miss those Barbies.
Day 7 - A song that reminds you of a certain event
Placebo: Running up that hill teminds me of a Depeche mode concert in Ljubljana, Slovenia in 2006. I went to with my ex and they were the openers. It was amazing and Brian Molko's voice...Damn!
Day 8 - A song you know all the words to
Well, that is...Every song I like and even a lot of those I don't like I know the words to. I have a freakish memory when it comes to lyrics because I used to sing in a choir and still sing backup vocals so... That's a lot of songs. *headdesk*
Day 9 - A song that you can dance to
Oh. Metro station's Shake it. It's an enerhetic song and the danceers are amazing in the video and simply it's a song I dance to even while doing the dishes or whatever.
Day 10 - A song that makes you fall asleep
Anything classical. Mostly Chopin. I love the piano and regret not sticking to learning how to play.
