Isle of Man TT Racing

We went to the Isle of Man this year for the TT - was awesome fun :D

Alex has uploaded all the pics and put them on his website: http://www.deviousmeans.net/gbbikers/IOMTT2008/

We went up to Liverpool on the Monday (omfg, no offence to anyone from Liverpool, but what a shit hole O.O), then caught the ferry Tuesday morning. It was torrential rain and heavy winds, the bike was at a 45 degree angle for alot of the journey on Monday :/ And it was pissing rain for the first couple of days, but I actually caught a tan on the Saturday :O

We went round the lap at least once a day, and Alex even stuck a camera on the bike to catch part of it - it's awesome to watch back, he might stick it on youtube, I'll post it if he does!!

We were there for the practice week mostly, but we did get to see some racing on the Saturday :D There was even a crash really close to where we were sitting on the Saturday, Alex got some good pics of the aftermath - the guy was okay, and his bike was mostly in one piece.

John McGuinness, who is the current record holder for the fastest ever lap (avg 130mph!), stopped mid-race at the spot we were at on Saturday aswell - very eventful! I went down to the loos after this bike stopped, and heard someone saying "John Mcguinness is round there!" "How do you know?" "Cos I've just seen him, and his bike's there!"... so I went for a nosy past ;D He seemed quite cool, despite loads of people crowding round him. Only pics we got of him though were of him helping to carry the stretcher of the guy who crashed - still, cool pics!

Definitely going again next year, though I hope I can ride my own bike up then!! :D

Love,
Kris
