I am seriously considering becoming a nurse, or at least a CNA in the near future. I might be crazy, in fact I am pretty sure I am, but it's the first thing I've been passionate about and fought for in a long time so this... I'm willing to go with.
Thoughts, comments, advice, anything? I'm a little lost and bereft at the moment, even with my research and a job/school plan. I could use thoughts, encouragement, constructive criticism, etc.
The current plan is to try and schmooze my way into a patient care tech position at a local hospital and get them to pay for my RN AA at a local college. Barring that, I'll get my CPR and Basic Life Saving certs on my own dime/time and apply again. Barring THAT I will go for a lesser position at the hospital and try to move up. And if THAT doesn't work I think I'm just going to jump into the weekend program and Gwynedd Mercy and go for my RN.
So that's the big "life change" plan I've been alluding to and I'd really, seriously appreciate any input people have.
