A Weekend In Summary

Jan 15, 2007 11:55

I had a HUGE update here, but finally my TMI filter went off. No one needs to read that much insane detail about my life. Instead, I sum up:

Friday David went out so Hilary and I watched 'Love, Actually' to fill the time and I cried. A lot. David was out later than usual and his phone died so I couldn't reach him to find out if everything was OK so I didn't sleep much until he finally rolled in.

Saturday we painted at John's place and my back, shoulders and knees (I knelt to paint the fireplace and bruised them pretty well) still haven't forgiven me.

Sunday David came down with raging stomach flu. Hilary and I were up with him most of the night. In the afternoon Hilary stayed home to watch the boy and I did the grocery shopping and a fair bit of cleaning. I proceeded to stay up too late with David watching movies while Hilary went to see Fall Out Boy (jealous!!).

In short, I am physically exhausted but my 'good deed' meter is full so I feel good about that. And I'm not being ... I guess narcisstic about it -- I just find I don't mind being tired when the tired comes from doing hard work for good purpose.

At some point I need to write more than just a synopsis of my life. I remember when I used to have a sense of humor and have opinions on things. Or when I used to *gasp* write. I need to make a better effort to be more than a cardboard cutout of a person.

recap, real life
