Two years ago I renewed my cell phone with AT&T. A week later they were bought out by Cingular. Earlier this week I FINALLY became a full-fledged Cingular customer. What happens? They're RE-BOUGHT by AT&T and the transition starts next week ( Read more... )

How odd. Last I knew--when I was working for Annie the Psychotic, who worked for AT&T--AT&T was going under fast and furious.

I have a feeling that this whole AT&T/Cingular thing is simply corporate name-swapping. I'm pretty certain that they're the same company now.

What exactly are the effects of being a transitional customer? I'm still under my parents' plan, so I don't bother keeping track of any of the contract changes.
