Another Small Victory
This happened a lot sooner than I had hoped. But that's a good thing!
Morning-after pill to be available without prescription.
They're hoping to have it in pharmacies by the end of the year.
Of course, this still doesn't solve or even APPROACH that whole issue of a pharmacist's right to NOT dispense a medication if he is morally opposed to it -- hence women with legitimate birth control prescriptions not being able to get those scripts filled because the pharmicist finds BC to be "immoral." I suspect that those same pharmicists will refuse to dispense the Morning After pill.
Still, it's a crucial first step. Hopefully the FDA will stick to its guns and not reneg under pressure. Because I'm sure there will be pressure -- there always is.
