Improv theater for the kiddies

Nov 21, 2007 00:25

So, I've volunteered to a single session of Improv theater for some kids in the Southeast of DC.  There's a long story involved here as to how it came about, but I'm happy to be doing something to participate in these afterschool programs to try and give kids exposure to new things, and give them an alternative to hanging out on the street or at home.

I figured I could teach art or theater.  Art would require too much of an attention span, though, so I thought I should start with theater.  And, if it's only one session... why not do Improv?  Very active and engaging.

So, if any of you have tips or ideas or your favorite improv games for kids between 10 and 15 years old, PLEASE, PL.EASE, PLEASE let me know.

Many thanks in advance.
