At Comic Con David Tennant was asked if he was a Firefly/Serenity fan. Yes/yes and he said it inspired him to ask for a long coat. And they gave him a long brown coat. BROWN COAT! To much of a geek collision for me, but more proof I can blame James Marsters and really Joss Whedon is to blame for my Doctor Who obsession! Watching Torchwood for a James Marsters fix post BTVS I was confused and needed to understand. Why wasn't Captain Jack's coat as awesome as it could be? Yeah its cool, and hot and nummy but it could be AWESOME. BTVS was always about cool coats. So it started...
April 19, 2008 - first day I watched Doctor Who. Utopia/The Sound of the Drums/Last of the Time Lords in one sitting.
Let me refer to my LJ post of that day: I've started watching Doctor Who in the hope that I will enjoy Torchwood more and thus enjoy the show surrounding James Marsters' hotness. I figured out why Captain Jack's and Captain John's coats aren't as cool as the could be - because the Doctor's has to be THE COOLEST. Oh it all makes sense now! The Doctor has to be the hottest in Hot Town no matter what. It's like a law of Sci-fi Fantasy right? Capt. Kirk always gets the girl. Nobody ever dies. The truth is out there. Doctor Who gets the the cooler coat. Alas Spike's coat is still THE coolest. Sorry Doctor.
So now can we smoosh RTD and Joss together and watch all the characters die? I mean, come on! Ooo, they should do like a Sci-fi Queer as Folk meets The Valley of the Dolls. Not Dollhouse, I just really would love Joss to do The Valley of the Dolls for some reason. It's been bugging me for awhile now.
Oh and btw, Spike might have a bitchin' coat, but The Doctor is the hottest is hot town. Swoon, I say swoon. Doesn't hurt at all that James Marsters, John Barrowman, and David Tennant are the cutest geeks in the entire world. Nummy!
