Overdue Update

Things have been kind of wacky. Good and bad. Pretty overwhelming. I think we are all hanging in there though.

Still without a j.o.b. Looking, applying, but nothing to report on yet. Mom is also still jobless. We have unemployment and things are okay. Mom is helping take care of Grandma, but, well, I will get to that.

Mom and I have been taking classes at the employment department. One hour class on "Starting a Small Business" led us to taking a 10 week small business course. On a scholarship! We are 7 weeks or so into the 10 week class. It is awesome! We are learning a lot and I think we are really on track to start our own business. Something we've been talking about doing for years. In the next few weeks I will have more details about the opening of our online store - it will be on etsy - and also some other ideas/projects we are working on. Our class is also a program that will help us past these first ten weeks so we are really building a sold base for amazing things to come! I can't wait to share more details but am pretty think in the planning stages. Actually I am learning about planning and planning and planning about learning...ug, its crazy! But fun crazy!

Bad news - two weeks ago Grandma O had a stroke. She is recovering, but it has been difficult. We've all been helping her with the recovery from severe anemia from December and now she will need 24/7 care. Me, Mom, and my Uncle are determined to get her home. She is very aware, feisty, but doesn't have the use of her left arm. So yeah, things are stressed. She is at the same rehab place as last time. We will figure everything out soon I hope. And holy crap all the family is coming to visit in May so even more zany things to come! We are a small family but just as feisty as Grandma.

And of course my body can't go without attention. I have a doc appt in May for some PCOS issues. Cramps, bleeding, evil body fun times. Just to add a little more stress to the stress party. I was really worried yesterday, but after making four or five phone calls just to talk to my doctor I finally was told not to worry and that what we are doing is routine care. No, he used the phrase "Standard of Care." The good news is I get to take some really relaxing drugs! woo!

Other than Lulu squashing my arm as I type I can't think of much else to update. Like this is not enough!?!? Yeah, uh huh. I hope all is well with everyone!
