Happy No Job Day
May 19th marked one year since I quit my job at T-mobile. I survived being unemployed for nearly 11 months (I worked one month and got a job 2 weeks ago) and not having insurance. I don't adore my new job, but I do love it more than customer care!
Mom started working out at the casino two days ago. She hated drive nearly two hours a day (that's like over a $100 a week in gas) to a crappy customer care call center job again - that's why she quit at T-mobile just like me. She's a cashier at the casino buffet which isn't glamorous or fun, but its a start. Looks like we'll eventually be able to carpool because we'll be on swing shift and have the same days off. Three days off! Yeah, we're both working part time which is a huge bonus in having time to work on other projects.
I read this atJohn Hodgeman's Blog before I read Jane Espenson's Blog. Either way you should read both.
