It sounds like I've missed much ado up at the castle, mostly because I've been trying to provide motorbike demonstrations to interested patrons without losing a hand or two. So far we've seen much interest, but not much in the way of galleons. Convincing the wizarding world that flying motorbikes are the new broomsticks is a task more easily

I think about that sometimes. You lot and Peter Pettigrew. Did you know him like I know Ron and Hermione? Because I couldn't not trust them.

I don't know that I knew him like you know Ron and Hermione, but he never seemed like the sort of person I couldn't trust. That was it, really--not that he seemed trustworthy, but that he never seemed untrustworthy.

It didn't seem like an important distinction at the time, but it seems huge in retrospect.

I hope you don't think I was suggesting that you shouldn't trust Ron and Hermione, Harry. Like I said, trust is a wonderful thing to have. It's a wonderful thing to give, as well--almost as good as a Firebolt.

I know you weren't suggesting that. It just seems like I can feel them when they aren't even around sometimes. Like I know things about them that they don't even know... For instance, right now Ron's thinking about how he's going to marry Luna and make lots of overly curious little Ron sprogs. And Hermione needs to scratch her right ear but she's working on an essay and her poor hand isn't able to catch up to her brain.

The Firebolt was half past brilliant.

You've just described what I was thinking when I said it seems entirely natural to be young and to trust your friends more than you trust yourself. Some people just bring that out in you--especially when you know they've seen you at both your best and your worst.
