I can't stop listening to Us by Regina Spektor. If it sounds familiar it's because it's from 500 Days of Summer which you must see ASAP!

I can't relate to this song in any way, but I love how she sings with such passion. I often think that if I had a talent for singing I would want to sound like Natalie Merchant from 10,000 Maniacs or Stevie Nicks

I totally know that last thing you said... I always wonder what part of a song people listen to because for the longest time I assumed they heard what I ehard, but that's really not the case

After I wrote this & after I read this comment I've tried to listen to other aspects of a song but I find it hard. So weird. It's like my brain has been trained to only listen to music one way.
