And so we enter round number 2 of this crazy snowfall. It really is great to watch the flakes, but when you have noone to share them with they begin to lose their appeal I am sorry to say.
I got a book out of the library today called As Simple As Snow. I am excited to read it but I must finish Glass first.

The performance of No, No, Nanette is just around the corner. We've had less and less practice lately but I'm positive everything will turn out right. I am personally excited.

I am currently starting a report on Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

"The Rainy Day"

The day is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
The vine still clings to the moldering wall,
But at every gust the dead leaves fall,
And the day is dark and dreary.

My life is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
My thoughts still cling to the moldering Past,
But the hopes of youth fall thick in the blast
And the days are dark and dreary.

Be still, sad heart! and cease repining;
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary

I like Longfellow's philosophy of life. He believed in not getting stuck on the past but also not falling back on the thought that the future will be bright. His poems seem to say "live in the now" and I try to do that as much as I can.

Thanks for reading.
