Brief update:
-THE GOOD: 1) I got to meet Mark Z. Danielewski and, peripherally, Poe. Poe's album and Danielewski's book both helped me cope with my father's death in different ways, so this was really cool. 2) I got to hear VAST play live as well, and they were surprisingly good. 3) I have an improv show on Friday night. 4) I have some of the best friends in the world. :)
-THE BAD: 1) The money situation, while better, still sucks - I am seriously considering just applying for a vast number of grants and financial aid, quitting my job and getting my ass through school. Big thanks to the aforementioned friends for helping me figure out that that was something I actually *could* do. 2) It's seriously starting to look like the redhead I'm suddenly crushing on (met her through improv friends) doesn't dig me. This sucks a little, but is certainly nothing I'm not used to. 3) Ugh. On a related note, while my (again aforementioned) friends will kill me for this, low grade loneliness that I just can't seem to shake or process/transform continues to hound me. I'm not depressed or anything, it's just background noise. I'll have to find some new way of attacking this, as my usual process doesn't seem to be working.
-THE OTHER: 1) Comedy writing continues, with various degrees of success. 2) I need to make time to read. I have a philosophy book to polish off (I'm *way* behind), and Danielewski's new book is calling to me.
