I haz eet.
First impressions: It's much much simpler than the last edition of Hackmaster. Characters can be rolled up in less than a half hour, and that's including explaining things. Compare that to a couple hours (less if you were fast) with the last HackMaster and this is quite the improvement/blessing. Waaaay less complicated also means it offers less, too, until HackMaster Advanced is released. You only have four races-- Human, Elf, Dwarf and Halfling. There are only four classes-- Fighter, Thief, Mage and Cleric. Still, it looks like it's rocking.
I'll be running this game on Sunday at the local shop and I'll try to get my thoughts up on how it runs and such at a later date.
But today has been a great day, aside from worky work stuff I probably shouldn't talk about... New HackMaster, new Knights of the Dinner Table and new freaking DICE (smoke gray translucent; Sharon picked them out).
How y'all doin'?
