Poll time!

Hey, it's been awhile since I did a poll, okay?

Let's keep it simple. I've been watching Enterprise, and aside from the theme song (DEAR GOD WHY???), it's really not so bad. Anyways, this makes me think of great sci-fi TV shows... so here are a few to pick from. Decide: Which is the best?

BABYLON 5 is out of the running with me, but for personal reasons.

Andromeda would have been a damned interesting show, but Tribune started fucking with it past the first season, just as they did with Earth: Final Conflict, and they pushed Robert Hewitt Wolfe into the abyss (or The Abyss, depending how you think of it) and derailed his plan for the series (my novel, WAYSTATION, pretty much jumps back to that plan, though it's a third-season setting; I knew what Trance was from TPTB before anything was revealed in the series, althouhg the final outcome was an utter travesty.) Once Sorbo started arsing about with the property, it was pretty much a truly enormous piece of shit -- and the final season is some of the worst television I've ever seen, and I've seen some truly bad TV.

Hell, I've been involved with the making of some truly awful TV too, so...

It coulda been a contendah! Well, with the exception of those fucking amateurish Magog fursuits.... Lexa Doig did a hell of a job as Andromeda's three variations (core ship/hologram/android) and Laura Beltram was a tricksy little thing as Trance -- probably my favorite character in the series.

I've been meaning to check out Andromeda for a long time, despite the shortcomings I've heard about. My dad seems to be of the same opinion. He loved it but then it fell apart, he says.

Thanks for your insight on this... fascinating! :)
