I'm sick. It's something Drake brought home with him. Something he picked up at pre-school around Friday, no doubt. That's the downside of putting one's children in social settings, I suppose.
So yeah, I feel like poo.
Also, Total Party Kill didn't make submission deadline... which, to be honest, I don't know why that matters to the second so much, as it's an online publication, but okay. The last couple of days I have busted my ass getting TPK together. Seriously. You should see my ass. BEHOLD MY BUSTED ASS.
Ahem.
Anyway, yeah, all of today was spent working on it, fine-tuning it, making it work. But, as I discovered, a few of the shortcuts I was depending on just didn't cut the mustard code-wise. Too raw, too messed up in the conversion.
Oh, yeah, TPK has to be hand-coded. Did you know that?
Though Marc, the editor of CWR, closed the door on me getting it in (I would have had to do another 2 hours of coding), he did suggest I just hold on to it for next time. Two weeks? I tried to remain as cool as possible, as Marc is a really nice guy. My family knows how I felt initially; and allow me a second to publicly say this to them: I am sorry for my outburst. I love you.
Luckily, Marc is a nice guy. Right, I've mentioned that. So he's cool with me putting it up somewhere else. That's right, TPK this fortnight LIVES (though I barely do). I'm going to put it up over at Mediagauntlet.com
The Vorpal Gnome. The nasty irony is that I had to edit out a bunch of html code! LAWL. And I have to admit, being able to throw more images in there, place them where I want to, and control the format in a finer manner is quite nice.
Expect TPK to land tomorrow, courtesy of
MediaGauntlet The Vorpal Gnome.
As for Comics Waiting Room,
their new issue is already live! (It usually goes live on Tuesdays.)
There's some good stuff in there, like a feature concerning the Chuck TV show. And Brandon Jerwa writes an amusing column on gamers and what-ye-not.
Right. I need to go help put my wee ones to bed, and get out of this damned chair.
