Roguelikes kick your ASCII better from behind

Time for some important polling...

Poll Roguelikes?

I was going to have another little poll where you could pick your favourite one, but lj polls is made from shit-daemons, and I'm sick of being frustrated over something so trivial. Bleh...

UPDATE: Some of you might know what Roguelikes are, but are unfamiliar with the term. Here's a link to the Wikipedia article that should bring you up to speed.

So, if you don't mind, please list your fave Roguelikes in the comments!

My picks are ADOM, Nethack, Dwarf Fortress and a "newer" one, Diablo II.

Personally, I love ASCII-kicking ferocity in all manifestations there of; and I love latter-day Roguelikes, too. There's a particular reason why I've been immersing myself into these kinds of things lately... You'll see. In the meantime, I have to decide which game to pick for my own poll... I love them all SO much.

Here's a cool page comparing Nethack to ADOM.

Oh yeah! And don't forget to join in for Earth Hour-- turn those lights off at 8pm! We're going to turn the boys in at 7.30, light some beeswax candles, and set up some RL Rogueliking of our own with DESCENT! :D

I would like to note that although dnd isn't a Roguelike, I tend to mentally throw it into the same category.

roguelikes, boardgames, awesome, videogames, earth hour, polls, hack's quest
