video editing question

Heyos, for those that are way more tech knowledgeable then me, I have a project I am working on and if I can get things to take need to play around with a video. It is currently in a quicktime movie format. I can't go and buy any software and wondered what is there that is free, and simple to use as I need to take a 1 minute video and change the facial features in it, I also need to tweak what is said in it without overdubbing if possible to so as to not erase the background noise and feel of things.

and heh I only got a month to get this all done. hint hint hint.
