Anna seems to be doing very well. She was complaining bitterly this morning (first day back after a week off for spring break) that she wished we would move back to Iowa so she could wear whatever she wants to school instead of a uniform (all kids in public schools here have a certain dress code - she has to wear navy blue bottoms and red or white shirt with a collar). I'm very impressed with what she's learning, particularly the way they teach math. Venn diagrams in 1st grade? At the suggestion of her teacher, she was tested and designated as "gifted" but due to budget issues there probably won't be a formal program for her until 3rd grade.

Stephen has been in preschool at a huge Methodist church T/TH from 8:45-12:45 and we've been really happy with it. He will be starting full day kindergarten at the same school as Anna in August. I felt that full day was too much for Anna, particularly at the beginning of her kindergarten year, but Stephen seems to be more focused, and I'm pretty sure he'll be fine.

Matthew will be starting a Moms Day Out program in the fall at the same church where S goes to school now. He'll be going MWF 9am-1pm. If I can keep my same teaching schedule (MWF 10:10 - 12:05), I'm expecting life to be much easier come August! All year I have been handing the boys off to a student or DH while I teach and it has been tricky at times.
