salkia_island dream event with the theme of rain.
She kisses his lips and then it’s goodbye.
Goodbye.
Goodbye.
Why was it always goodbye?
She hated it.
Always, always hated it.
The rain of her heart, the sadness, it soaks her. Cerulean eyes look at the thin body walking away. She wants to scream ‘please don’t go! I need you’. But nothing comes out.
He’s walking away.
Stop him.
Stop him.
Stop him.
She runs with all her strength. Running, running, running.
Reach.
He hears her footsteps but he doesn’t turn around.
It was the end wasn’t it? He never kissed her back after all. It was the end for him, for them. He slowly fades away and she stops running.
Damn it.
Screw the rebellion.
Fuck the rebellion.
All she needed was him… Of course, without the struggle between land and power, she wouldn’t have gotten to know him and his false façade. She wouldn’t have gotten to strong sense of self and determination he carried.
But goddamn it! She just needed-
She needed him. And he needed her. But their definition of need didn’t align with each other. He needed her to fight. She needed him to be there by her side like he’d always been.
If he would only look at her… If he would only just look…
No, he’s looking at him.
That fucking traitor.
Him.
She hates him.
Always will.
The country took away her brother. The rebellion took away her first love. He…. He… he stole…
She’d never be able to win. Even though his death, he came back to haunt her.
‘I have him now. You killed me and I still have him.’
Fuck you!
Emotionally, it’s raining. The sky above was crying while she was refusing to. She didn’t want the sympathy.
“I don’t need your goddamned sympathy!”
But now she’s crying. Standing alone was the only thing she could do… It’s all she could ever do. No one could feel that empty place beside her. Perhaps after her brother’s death, she had been subconsciously looking, finding, searching, for someone to fill that lonely space. She placed him there, but he wasn’t to stay long.
Walk alone.
Keep walking.
Forever walking.
Always walking.
And she proceeds to walk.
It’s fine. It’s okay.
This was how it was supposed to be right?
Heroes stood alone.
Against all odds, they stood alone.
It’s a simple fact to be accepted. Surrounded by others, but always alone. This was the life she led. Perhaps even the path she chose.
Walk on, young solider. Walk on. Nothing is ever promised. Make of this life what you will. Never look back in anger.
